Production Assistant

Contract Type: Permanent Salary / Benefits £12.90 - £13.30 an hour Job Elements • A great opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to join a busy production team, providing support to help maintain and develop the site and equipment. • Assist in some manual machine operations. • Assist in keeping a clean and well organised site. • Assist Line Manager with maintenance of machinery and equipment • Carry out ''Handy man'' site and equipment alterations • Assist in installation of new machinery • Semi-skilled machine operations and as second man on Laser and bending operations • Drive FLT, unloading steel delivery vehicles, storing materials and maintaining housekeeping standards • Some shop floor labouring, cleaning and housekeeping duties The ideal candidate will have: • Experience in operating and/or maintaining machinery • Practical background with experience using hand tools and DIY • Counterbalance FLT licence an advantage • NVQ in mechanical or electrical subject an advantage • Computer literate • Previous overhead gantry training an advantage • Be physically fit (due to manual handling and physical nature of the job) Petrie Recruitment Limited acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and employment business for the supply of temporary workers. ..... full job details .....
