This is a newly created, combined role for someone who can confidently manage people and workflow while also bringing a solid mechanical or engineering background to the table.You will be responsible for supervising production staff, managing day-to-day workflow, and using your technical knowledge to understand job timings, identify machine issues, and keep the operation running smoothly. Key ResponsibilitiesPeople ManagementSupervise, coach, and support production operators on a day-to-day basisConduct one-to-ones, performance reviews, and return-to-work meetingsManage attendance, sickness, and lateness in line with company proceduresDeliver training on safety, quality, and operational proceduresFoster a positive team environment and lead by exampleProduction and WorkflowCoordinate and monitor production activities to meet daily, weekly, and monthly output targetsAllocate labour, materials, and equipment to ensure smooth workflowUse your mechanical knowledge to understand how long each job should take and hold operators accountable to those timeframesResolve operational issues quickly to minimise downtimeTrack production metrics including output, scrap, downtime, and labour efficiencyPrepare shift reports and communicate issues to managementCover ..... full job details .....
