PPE testing includes gloves, fall protection equipment, motorcycle garments, high visibility clothing, eyewear, helmets, hearing protection, chainsaw garments, kneepads, sports protection, and more. The department consists of multiple accredited laboratories equipped with specialist machinery used to assess the physical properties of PPE against international and European standards. Test results are reported to customers and used to support product development and certification processes (e.g. CE/UKCA marking). The team includes a mix of technicians, technologists, and support staff responsible for coordinating and conducting testing activities.
