About the Role

Based in Clevedon, this permanent, full-time post supports specialist thermal management products throughout their lifecycle. The Product Sustaining Engineer – Thermal Systems owns assigned lines, keeping them reliable, cost-effective and fit for manufacture. Duties include investigating technical faults, leading engineering changes and driving continuous improvement across existing designs. Hybrid working applies, blending on-site presence with home days. Applicants need strong problem-solving ability, thermal or mechanical engineering knowledge, and experience of change control within a production setting. About the Role:
We are looking for a Product Sustaining Engineer – Thermal Systems to support the ongoing development, improvement and lifecycle management of specialist thermal management products.
You will take ownership of assigned product lines, ensuring they remain reliable, cost effective and suitable for manufacture. You will investigate technical issues, lead engineering changes and drive product and continuous improvement projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Own assigned products throughout their lifecycle.
  • Lead product improvements, engineering changes and continuous improvement projects.
  • Investigate technical issues from manufacturing, suppliers, field service and customers.
  • Identify root causes and implement robust corrective actions.
  • Develop mechanical and electromechanical solutions for thermal management applications.
  • Create and maintain 3D CAD models, engineering drawings, specifications and Bills of Materials.
  • Work closely with manufacturing, quality, supply chain, sales and engineering teams.

About You:
  • Experience in product development, sustaining engineering, manufacturing engineering or a similar technical environment.
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, Product Design Engineering or equivalent industry experience.
  • Experience supporting commercially released products and managing engineering changes.
  • Strong 3D CAD experience, such as SolidWorks, Inventor, Creo or similar.
  • Able to create and interpret detailed engineering drawings.
  • Able to read and understand electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
  • Experience with thermal management, heating systems, fluid control, sensors or similar industrial equipment would be advantageous.
  • Familiarity with control systems, software configurations, reliability improvement or manufacturing processes would be beneficial.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication and collaboration skills.
