Mechanical Design EngineerLocation: Halesowen, West Midlands Sector: Engineering / ManufacturingWe are recruiting for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join an established engineering and manufacturing business specialising in cooling and beverage dispensing equipment.This is an exciting opportunity for an engineer with strong mechanical design skills who enjoys improving existing products, resolving technical challenges and supporting new product development. You will play a key role in maintaining engineering documentation, enhancing product reliability and quality, and ensuring designs are optimised for efficient manufacture and assembly.Key Responsibilities of the Mechanical Design EngineerCreate, maintain and manage Bills of Materials (BOMs), product data and engineering documentation within an MRP system.Manage engineering changes, including updates to designs, technical drawings and product specifications.Develop and improve mechanical, refrigeration, electrical and dispensing system components and apply Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DFMA) principles to improve product quality, reliability and manufacturing efficiency.Identify opportunities for continuous improvement, cost reduction and enhanced product performance.Support new product introduction, redesign projects and product improvement programmes and assist with prototype builds, product testing, sample development and design verification.Collaborate with Manufacturing and Quality teams to resolve production ..... full job details .....
