Hours are Monday - Friday, 8am - 4 pm

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the day-to-day activities of the Product Re-Use Centre (PRC) team.
  • Organise and prioritise workloads to ensure jobs progress efficiently and agreed deadlines are achieved.
  • Maintain high standards of workmanship, finish and quality across all PRC activities.
  • Inspect completed work and ensure it meets client requirements.
  • Provide practical, hands-on support and guidance to the team.
  • Support the development of team members through coaching, mentoring and sharing practical knowledge.
  • Identify training and development requirements and opportunities to broaden team skills.
  • Help develop and improve re-use, refurbishment and operational processes within the Centre.
  • Identify and resolve production, quality and workflow issues.
  • Ensure materials, components, tools and equipment are used appropriately and efficiently.
  • Help minimise unnecessary material usage, damage, rework and waste.
  • Liaise effectively with the Product Re-Use Centre Manager regarding workload, priorities, progress, resources and any issues affecting delivery.
  • Maintain a clean, organised, professional and safe working environment.
  • Ensure company procedures and health and safety requirements are understood and followed.
  • Lead by example in terms of attitude, attendance, workmanship, productivity, professionalism and teamwork.

Essential Skills & Experience

The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate:

  • Previous practical experience within a commercial furniture, reupholstery, refurbishment, manufacturing or similar hands-on environment.
  • Strong practical skills and an understanding of how commercial products are constructed, repaired, refurbished or adapted.
  • Previous supervisory, team-leading or significant responsibility for coordinating other employees.
  • The confidence and ability to supervise, guide and motivate a team.
  • The ability to organise workloads, manage priorities and keep work progressing.
  • Good practical problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Confidence in dealing constructively and professionally with performance or quality issues.
  • Good general technology skills and confidence using digital systems as part of day-to-day work.
  • A willingness to remain hands-on and work alongside the team when required.
  • A positive attitude towards change, improvement and developing people.
