Product Owner

OverviewI am currently supporting a Financial Services client who is looking to hire a Product Owner on an initial 12-month contract with a scope of extensions. The role requires you to work in the Nottingham office 2 days a week and is paid up to £550 per day inside IR35 via an umbrella.

The role involves working as part of a cross-functional team including product, design, software engineering, quality assurance and commercial. It focuses on the delivery stage of the product lifecycle, working with product managers who focus on strategy and discovery. Maintaining, nurturing and improving our product experience is a critical part of the business and our product owners are a key part of this.

You will own and focus the team backlog, work closely with the engineering team to plan and deliver features aligned to the product vision and strategy, and help plan increments of work with stretching shared objectives and key results. You will lead refinement of new work to create solutions to customer problems that deliver business value as well as lender and cross-system integrations. Product development of both web and mobile app experiences will be essential, especially in a regulated environment (financial services preferred).
