This is transforming a historically manual, phone-and-spreadsheet-based process into a transparent, efficient, and scalable system—improving outcomes for households and businesses across the UK.The Role: Product Manager – Internal ToolsWe are hiring an ambitious Product and Project Manager to help build the backbone of Water Direct’s next phase of growth. You’ll lead the specification, implementation, and rollout of critical internal tools and systems, shaping how we scale our operations nationally. This is not just delivery – it’s an opportunity to own product decisions that will transform a traditionally manual industry into a data-driven, tech-enabled operation.This is a hybrid role combining product ownership and project delivery. You will own the product roadmap focused on the systems and tools that support our operational platform—playing a central role in delivering the next phase of growth for the business.You’ll drive high-impact initiatives that will directly shape how our business runs—rolling out a new inventory management system, building the foundations of a central data lake to support business intelligence and leading improvements to how we plan, price, and route our nationwide services. These projects are core to our ability to scale, serve customers faster, and operate more efficiently.You''ll work across the business to identify inefficiencies and bottlenecks, gather requirements, specify solutions, manage technical implementations, lead change and training activities, and ensure the successful adoption of new systems.Who We''re Looking ForWe are looking for someone who thrives in a startup-like environment, enjoys turning ambiguity into action, and can make change happen through technology and collaboration.Essential Experience:3-5 years in product management or project delivery, ideally in a consultancy or relevant services businessExperience delivering software/tools and projects from requirements to rolloutExperience of working with data and developing insight, analytics, or other dashboardsStrong stakeholder management and communication skillsSkilled at gathering and refining requirements, documenting workflows, and managing timelinesComfortable working with both technical and operational teams to generate buy-in and deliver changeNice to Have:A track record of launching, improving, or extending existing systemsBackground in technology or management consultancy with proven ability to translate business problems into technology solutionsExperience of software rollout, delivering presentations and gaining buy-in from non-technical stakeholdersExperience working in and around operational businesses or industries.
