Technical CAD / Product Development Engineer

Location:-Birmingham

Working Hours:-Monday to Thursday, 07.30 to 16.30/ Friday, 07.30 to 12.30

Salary:-Up to -45,000 per annum

We are supporting a long-established, market-leading manufacturer in their search for a-Technical CAD / Product Development Engineer. This is an excellent opportunity to join a forward-thinking organisation known for high-quality design, precision engineering, and exceptional craftsmanship.

Key Responsibilities as a Product Development Engineer:

• Design and develop new products using CAD software (e.g., Autodesk Inventor).
• Produce detailed technical drawings and specifications for manufacturing.
• Work collaboratively with production teams to optimise designs for machining and manufacture.
• Ensure all technical output meets internal quality and engineering standards.
• Check and verify technical drawings.
• Provide ongoing support to manufacturing operations.

Essential Requirements as a Product Development Engineer:

• Proficiency in CAD software.
• Strong understanding of metals and machining processes.
• Experience working closely with shop-floor manufacturing teams.
• Degree in mechanical engineering or similar discipline.
• Good understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
