Product Engineer

An automotive component manufacturer with sites across Europe require a Product Engineer to take full responsibility for a set of automotive components from initial design concept through to detailed design, tooling and pre-production and launch. Commutable from: Birmingham, Coventry, Solihull, Redditch, Shirley, Bromsgrove, Warwick

Salary: -56,000 - -58,000 p.a.

The Role

Reporting into the Lead Engineer you will have the following duties:

-Responsible for the process, preparing parts to be ready for production.
-The implementation of technical changes.
-Responsible for all associated documentation.
-Support and lead problem solving activities.

The Person

Educated to degree level you will have the following experience:

-Experience the design and engineering of vehicle interiors.
-Experience in a plastic production or an assembly environment.
-Working knowledge of GD&T, DFM/DFA, CAE/FEA, CAD, FMEA, DVP&R
-Additional knowledge in injection moulding and tooling.
