We''re on the lookout for passionate and experienced Product Development Managers to join our team on an 18-month fixed term contract - and it''s an exciting time to come on board.

In this role, you''ll be at the heart of shaping and delivering our product development strategy across both Food and Non-Food categories. You''ll bring to life high-quality, great-value, and innovative products that delight our customers - from everyday essentials to trend-led launches - all through strong project management and collaborative cross-functional working.

Annual bonus scheme of up to 20% of base salary

Responsibilities

Leading the product development process with my NWT and suppliers, ensuring quality and innovation are at the heart of what we do and all new products have clear customer and business rationale and land with maximum impact.

Ensuring all our products are formulated in line with our product rules, corporate initiatives and brand guidelines.

Owning and managing the critical path and artwork process using our product development systems, effective stakeholder management and communication to ensure all products are launched on time.

Developing and driving a future strategic plan for my area that feeds into and compliments the product and category plan.

Working collaboratively with product direction to ensure cross category projects and seasonal events are delivered.

Ensuring our products are always great quality by regularly reviewing and reformulating them where needed.

Visiting our supplier partners to understand their production capabilities for future opportunities.

Keeping updated with trends in product and packaging, competitor activity and market dynamics and sharing with my team.

Advocate for Tesco, sharing my expertise and passion for product, actively participating in events and social media.

Leading change and contributing to the wider business taking ownership and ensuring delivery of cross-functional projects.

Considering commercial implications throughout development in order to maximise quality.

Developing and leading a high performing team, giving them the opportunities to be their best.

Following our Business Code of Conduct and always acting with integrity and due diligence.

Requirements

Project management skills and prioritisation.

Commercial awareness.

End to end product and proposition development.

Range management in a fast paced environment.

Experience of working in the food industry or formal qualification.

A passion for product and trends.
