Product Development Engineer

A globally recognised high volume manufacturer are currently looking to strengthen their Engineering department with the appointment of a Product Development Engineer. This is a fantastic opportunity for an engineer who enjoys hands-on product development and wants to be involved throughout the full product lifecycle, from initial concept and design through to testing, compliance and production. Working from their manufacturing facility in Warwickshire, the Product Development Engineer will be responsible for: Developing gas, electrical and combined-fuel systems for domestic appliances. Work across a broad range of gas, electrical and combination-fuel products. Translate marketing briefs and customer requirements into practical, manufacturable solutions. Create and deliver comprehensive product test plans. Set up, monitor and manage compliance testing. Prepare products and technical documentation for submission to external test and approval authorities. Maintain internal design verification and testing methods in line with current standards. Analyse test results and use findings to support engineering and design decisions. Produce detailed technical test reports and presentations. Identify, assess and manage product risks. Support sales and customer demonstrations through technical presentations and working samples. Benchmark existing products against competitors.
