Product Development Engineer:This role provides a unique opportunity to work with the design of defence products and processes, as well as the chance to witness and conduct product trials. The role requires broad scope of fundamental engineering techniques with good variation of day-to-day activities and involvement across the whole product lifecycle. What you''ll be doing:Supporting product design and systems engineering activities for new and legacy products, including product design and evaluation using systems engineering tools (e.g. Pugh Matrices, Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), Design Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (DFMEA . Process design, definition and critical evaluation e.g. Process Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (PFMEA), Process Control Plans (PCP) ensuring safety remains the highest priority in the working practices of yourself and the team.Hands on development with energetic and other materials to support product design and development activity.Conducting and managing trials in a safe and suitable manner, from creating Trial Plans, Risk and Safety Assessments through to trials execution and producing professional reports.Application of effective Engineering Governance throughout the product development lifecycle supporting design reviews from ..... full job details .....
