Product Development Engineer

Product Development Engineer Salary: Up to £38,000 (dependent on experience) Our client, an innovative and growing manufacturing business based in North Down, is seeking to appoint a Product Development Engineer to join their development team. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious engineer looking to gain exposure across the full product development lifecycle, from concept and design through to testing, validation and production. The successful candidate will work closely with internal teams, suppliers and customers to develop innovative engineering solutions and bring new products to market. Key Responsibilities Conduct performance testing on new and existing products in accordance with established procedures. Support and deliver research and development projects, both internally and in collaboration with external partners. Develop and implement handover procedures for new products transitioning into production. Create and maintain detailed Bills of Materials (BOMs) for newly developed products. Liaise with suppliers to ensure appropriate material selection and required performance characteristics are achieved. Maintain accurate records relating to development, prototyping and testing activities. Develop industry knowledge and expertise Provide technical support and engineering expertise across the wider business when required.
