Global FMCG manufacturing business require a Procurement Supervisor. Applicants need both strategic and operational procurement expertise, experience of or the ability to manage Buyers and comfort working in a matrix environment.
The Procurement Supervisor will essentially operate as a Procurement Manager leading all site based procurement activities (direct and indirect), operational and strategic while collaborating with global procurement colleagues across the matrix.
Specific duties of the Procurement Supervisor / Procurement Manager include:
- Lead, supervise, and develop a high-performing procurement team
- Running tenders (cradle-to-grave) and leading stratgeic souricng activities
- Ensure continuity of supply based on demand planning and inventory levels.
- Collaborate cross-functionally on strategic sourcing and long-term agreements.
- Establish and maintain effective supplier relationships and performance reviews.
- Contract Management activities including contract negotiations
- Identify alternative sourcing options and support change management activities.
- Drive cost savings, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Monitor supplier markets, conduct audits, and maintain procurement compliance.
- Support the development of procurement policies, best practices, and systems.
Procurement Supervisor / Procurement Manager applicants should meet the following criteria:
- Experience at Procurement Manager, Procurement Supervisor, Procurement Team Leader or Senior Buyer level
- Procurement experience within a global, matrix structured business within; manufacturing, FMCG, pharmaceuticals or FMCG
- Strategic procurement skills - ability to run tenders, negotiate and manage supplier and contractual arrangements
- MRP/ERP literacy - Oracle, BAAN, SAP, AX etc.
- Ability to manage suppliers in commercial negotiations and operational delivery OTD/OTIF etc.
- Experience/ability to use data to drive procurement decisions
