Procurement Specialist (maternity cover)

We''re working with a well-established public sector organisation who are looking to appoint a Procurement Specialist (Maternity Cover) to join their Commercial Team.The role:This is a service-critical position where you''ll play a key role in delivering a compliant, efficient, and value-driven procurement service. You''ll manage the full procurement lifecycle while working closely with stakeholders to drive cost savings, reduce risk, and ensure best practice across the organisation.Key responsibilities include:Managing end-to-end procurement processes across a range of categoriesIdentifying cost-saving opportunities and delivering value for moneyEnsuring compliance with procurement legislation, policies, and best practiceWorking closely with internal stakeholders and external partnersManaging contracts and maintaining accurate documentation for audit purposesAnalysing financial data and contract registers to forecast and improve spendEmbedding social value, sustainability, and ethical procurement principlesDelivering guidance and training to improve commercial awarenessWhat we''re looking for:Experience managing procurement processes within a public sector environmentStrong knowledge of procurement legislation (including Procurement Act 2023)Working towards or holding CIPS Level 4 (or above)Experience using e-tendering systemsStrong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial dataConfident communicator who can engage with stakeholders at all levelsThis is a ..... full job details .....
