- Managing tender processes from start to finish, including complex and high-value projects
- Providing advice and support on purchasing, supplier management and compliance requirements
- Preparing tender documents, assessing bids and supporting contract awards

- Identifying risks and opportunities to improve services and deliver value for money

- Experience in procurement, purchasing or supplier management within a local authority or public sector organisation
- Knowledge of tendering processes and commercial practices
- The ability to manage a varied workload and meet deadlines
- A practical and proactive approach to solving problems
- A Degree level qualification and Level 3 CIPS Diploma
