Procurement Officer

Kinetic PLC are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Procurement Officer (Maternity Cover) based in Nailsea.Are you an experienced Procurement Officer from an engineering or technical background? If so, we''d love to hear from you!What you''ll be doing: Negotiating best cost and delivery with suppliers, placing and following up on POs for assigned commodities. Building and maintaining effective supplier relationships to ensure smooth PO execution. Managing problems and schedule changes to ensure on-time delivery.Updating ERP systems (Oracle) to ensure accurate planning. Balancing tactical execution with strategic initiatives to drive cost and lead time reductions. Supporting Commodity Buyers on technical and commercial developments to improve product knowledge. Participating in supplier performance reviews and contributing to projects. Managing end-to-end procurement activities while applying sourcing policy and interfacing between suppliers and internal stakeholders.What we''re looking for: 2+ years of experience in a buying, sourcing, or procurement role within engineering or a related industry. Self-starter, highly motivated, and process-oriented individual. Strong negotiation, communication, and supplier management skills. Ability to work under pressure and handle challenges effectively.
