Are you looking to develop your public sector procurement career in a role that delivers real impact for local communities?

Hertfordshire County Council is seeking a Procurement Officer to join its Strategic Procurement Group. Working across a diverse range of services including highways, property, adult social care, children''s services, public health and community protection, you will support and lead procurement projects from planning through to contract award.-

In this varied role, you will:

• Deliver procurement exercises and framework mini-competitions.
• Provide procurement advice and guidance to stakeholders.
• Support pre-market engagement and tender development.
• Produce tender and contract documentation.
• Ensure compliance with the Procurement Act 2023 and Council regulations.
• Work closely with colleagues in Legal, Finance and commissioning teams.

We''re looking for individuals with:

• Public sector procurement experience or relevant procurement knowledge.
• An understanding of current procurement legislation.
• Strong organisational and stakeholder management skills.
• The ability to manage procurement activities through to contract award.
• Excellent attention to detail and confidence using Microsoft Office and eTendering systems.-
