Procurement Officer

Our client, a leading organisation in the defence sector, our currently seeking an experienced Procurement Officer to join their team in Stevenage for an exciting interim opportunity.

• Duration: 6 months
• Location: Stevenage
• Working Pattern: 1-2 days onsite

As a Procurement Officer, you''ll be the focal point between internal project teams and external suppliers, ensuring the timely processing of requisitions, maintaining delivery schedules and resolving invoice queries.

Key Responsibilities:

• Processing electronic and manual requisitions
• Raising RFQs and purchase orders using SAP
• Managing delivery forecasts and supplier communication
• Analysing data in Excel to support supplier selection

This role is pivotal in supporting spares and repairs procurement activities, monitoring supplier performance to support key business operations.

Key Experience:

• Experience in defence, aerospace, or manufacturing
• Strong understanding of SAP
• Strong MS Office skills (Excel, Outlook, Word)
• Confident communicator with strong supplier relationship skills
• Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure
