Jackson Hogg Procurement division are delighted to be partnering with a well-known public sector organisation on the appointment of a Procurement Officer to join their team. This is a full time and permanent role and can offer development opportunities as the department grows.-
This role will provide procurement support across the group, evaluate and manage procurement activities in addition to maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders.

The Role:
- Procuring contracts for goods, services and works in line with Company policy and all relevant UK legislation.
- Supporting management and delivery of contracts-
- Prepare and manage a range of procurement exercises-
- Implementing audit recommendations-
- Monitoring and reporting identified key suppliers
- Identify opportunities for service improvements and make recommendations to the Procurement Manager.-
- When required, participate in new initiatives that will lead to improvement in performance and service delivery.
The Person/Requirements:

Minimum of 1 year public sector procurement experience
-
Knowledge of the new Procurement Act
-
Good interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.

IT skills including the use of Microsoft packaged including Word and Excel.

Ability to work on own initiative as well as within a team.

CIPS qualification desirable but not essential

Direct tendering experience desirable but not essential
