Permanent role based in Craigavon

Salary

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a diverse range of suppliers and services, ensuring continuity of supply while optimising costs and working within budgetary parameters. The role demands strategic thinking, robust supplier relationship management, and the ability to anticipate and resolve procurement challenges.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee the supply of fresh produce, managing the process from cultivation to delivery, in line with demand forecasts.

Take ownership of procurement for a range of site services, including utilities, pest control, laundry, vending, chemicals, forklifts, and water.

Maintain adherence to company procurement procedures and compliance standards.

Drive process improvements using Lean Manufacturing methodologies.

Assess supplier performance, negotiate commercial terms, and identify new sourcing opportunities.

Implement cost-saving measures and encourage operational innovation.

Liaise with production to maintain optimal stock levels and resolve supply chain issues promptly.

Work alongside technical teams to ensure product quality, compliance, and food safety requirements are met.

Manage tenders, negotiate supplier contracts, and oversee supplier relationships.

Uphold the highest standards in food safety and quality assurance.

Candidate Requirements2-3 years'' experience in procurement or purchasing within the Food or FMCG sectors.

Degree-level qualification in a relevant subject.

Demonstrated leadership ability with experience in resource allocation and performance delivery.

Exposure to budget planning and financial control processes.
