Procurement Manager (Food)

Portfolio Procurement is partnering with a growing international client based in Kent to appoint a Procurement Manager (Food). This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of procurement strategies across both food and packaging categories, driving efficiency and value within a fast-paced and ambitious business.Working alongside experienced leaders, you will oversee end-to-end procurement operations, from sourcing and supplier management to logistics and distribution. A key part of your success will lie in building robust supplier relationships that support both timely delivery and cost-effectiveness.Responsibilities

Developing and implementing purchasing strategies within the food and packaging categories.Managing the purchasing process including buying, supplying and distribution for the companyBuilding strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure timely delivery at competitive prices.Forecast demand for our products and services, identifying opportunities for growth and improvement.Stay up to date with changing regulations.Identify the best products and suppliers in terms of value, delivery schedules and quality.Qualifications

Previous experience as Procurement Manager within a food manufacturing environmentExperience sourcing food ingredients and packaging.Degree in Supply Chain Management or related field (ideally).Strategically minded with strong analytical ability and excellent communication skills.Experience dealing with international suppliers and building strong relationships with stakeholders.Benefits
