Procurement Manager (Food)

OverviewPortfolio Procurement have been engaged by our leading Kent based client to recruit for a Procurement Manager (Food).

Responsibilities

Develop and implement purchasing strategies within the food and packaging categories.

Manage the purchasing process including buying, supplying and distribution for the company.

Build strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure timely delivery at competitive prices.

Forecast demand for our products and services, identifying opportunities for growth and improvement.

Stay up to date with changing regulations.

Identify the best products and suppliers in terms of value, delivery schedules and quality.

Qualifications

Previous experience as Procurement Manager within a food manufacturing environment

Experience sourcing food ingredients and packaging.

Degree in Supply Chain Management or related field (ideally).

Strategically minded with strong analytical ability and excellent communication skills.
