Procurement Manager
A fantastic opportunity for an experienced Procurement Manager to join a growing, innovative business based in Aldershot, Hampshire, with a salary of up to -60,000.
This is a key leadership role, offering the opportunity to take ownership of the procurement function, driving strategic sourcing, supplier performance, inventory optimisation, and product compliance, while leading a team.
The successful candidate will have proven experience in procurement or supply chain management within a manufacturing, production, or product-based environment.
This is a fully office-based position, requiring full-time onsite presence in Aldershot.
Role responsibilities of the Procurement Manager include:
- Lead the procurement function, developing sourcing strategies that drive cost savings, protect margins and ensure a resilient supply chain.
- Build and manage strong supplier relationships, overseeing supplier performance, contract negotiations, onboarding, and compliance.
- Take ownership of inventory planning, forecasting, and stock optimisation to ensure product availability while minimising excess stock.
- Use data and reporting tools (ERP, Excel and BI) to provide commercial insights, improve decision-making, and drive continuous process improvements.
- Lead and develop the Procurement and Compliance team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure procurement governance, product compliance and sustainability standards are met while managing supply chain risks and supporting business growth.
Person Specification of the Procurement Manager:
- Proven Far East sourcing experience with a track record of directly sourcing finished products from manufacturers in China and the Far East.
- Strong commercial buying expertise with experience managing product ranges, purchasing decisions, supplier performance, cost reduction, and margin optimisation.
- Excellent supplier and product management skills.
- Highly analytical and systems-focused, with advanced Excel skills and experience using ERP systems.
- Commercially minded and organised, with strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills, able to thrive in a hands-on SME environment.
Salary
Up to -60k
This position requires full on site presence.
