Procurement Lead

A global pharmaceutical organisation is entering an exciting phase of growth and transformation and is looking to appoint a Procurement Lead to support its Dundee operation.This is a key appointment within the business and forms part of the Senior Leadership Team. You will lead procurement strategy for the site, drive continuous improvement, implement best practice and support a sustainable long-term future.This is a strategic procurement role with responsibility across direct materials, indirect spend and selected capex activity. It is not a transactional buying role.Key responsibilities include:Leading procurement strategy for the Dundee site aligned to business objectivesManaging supplier relationships, performance and commercial negotiationsEnsuring continuity of supply for materials critical to productionDelivering cost saving and value improvement initiativesDriving continuous improvement across systems, processes and ways of workingIdentifying and mitigating supply chain riskSupporting inventory strategy, payment terms and working capital improvementLeading or supporting procurement tenders and sourcing projectsWorking cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Finance, Quality, Operations and Leadership teamsPlaying an active role within the Senior Leadership Team during a period of growth and change Skill and knowledge required for the role:Minimum 3 years procurement experience across direct materials, indirect and capex spendExperience sourcing, negotiating and ..... full job details .....
