Procurement Engineer

Our client, a leading organisation within the defence and security sector, is seeking a Procurement Engineer for a contract position based in Samlesbury. The role will support commercial and supply activities across complex engineering programmes, with a focus on procurement, contract negotiation and effective stakeholder management. This position requires attendance on site three days per week and full Security Check (SC) clearance from the outset.Key Responsibilities:Supporting the negotiation of commercial and supply proposalsManaging the closure of negotiations and ensuring agreed actions are completedSetting strategic objectives for procurement and supply activitiesProviding order book management support and monitoring delivery commitmentsReviewing and managing customer contract flow-down requirementsAnalysing costings, commercial proposals and contractual terms and conditionsEngaging with internal and external stakeholders to support successful procurement outcomesMaintaining accurate commercial and procurement records throughout the contract lifecycleJob Requirements:Experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain or commercial engineering environmentsUnderstanding of contract negotiation and commercial or supply proposalsKnowledge of cost analysis, contractual terms and conditions, and customer requirementsExperience supporting order book management and contract flow-down activitiesStrong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skillsExcellent ..... full job details .....
