We''re home to a global family of more than 30 well-known brands, with a focus on sustainability and growth.Job DescriptionRole PurposeEntain are looking for a Procurement Category Manager - Technology, to join its growing global business.The key purpose of this role is to optimise 3rd party spend on all IT and Telecoms expenditure across Entain, through the delivery of the identified integration benefit and creation of short/mid/long-term value optimisation strategies aligned to the objectives of the business.Key ResponsibilitiesOwn and embody the teams values, including the promotion and embedding within the teamScope out of all historic and future IT spend by supplier, BU and geography - including InternationalEngage IT teams to understand business strategiesCreate IT strategies, ensuring commercial tension across all areas of spend and a clear roadmap of activity based on contract expiry dates and business needsUnderstand and ensure the implementation of all IT Integration benefits through both personal delivery and matrix engagement with the IT teamsFinancial reporting of cost improvement on a PandL basis, interpreting CAPEX, OPEX, depreciation and cash flowBuild a cutting-edge knowledge of the supply base, providing value adding insights to the IT communityOperate agile and effective commercial processesOptimise buying channels, to ensure efficient transactional procurementUnderstand critical areas for Innovation and build a pipeline of opportunities to be shared with the supplier communityIdentification of global synergiesIdentification of revenue improvement opportunitiesUsing stakeholder and supplier networks, identify continuous improvement and step-change opportunities to improve product and service specificationsThis will specifically include:Provision of strong commercial leadership on all areas of IT costsDevelop and conduct Rfx''s for market activity ensuring size and complexity are fit for purposeCreation and buy in to key supplier management strategy to drive improved performance across the supply baseDevelop an understanding and knowledge of all industry specific technology solutionsBecome a key member of the IT communityMaximise contract compliance and spend under managementQualificationsGraduate calibre with Bachelor''s degree in Business (desirable but not mandatory)Post-graduate qualification (e.g. MSc/MBA) or a professional qualification such as MCIPS is desirable but not essentialProject Management qualification desirable but not essentialTechnically and commercially astuteAdditional InformationExceptional commercial experience (including strategy creation, implementation and benefit delivery)Building of IT strategiesTCO modelling to define optimal cost structuresExcellent people and influencing skills across all levels of the organisationHighly organisedSelf-motivated and can-do attitudeWhat''s in it for you?At Entain, we know that signing top players requires a great starting package, and plenty of support to inspire peak performance.
