Procurement Category Manager - Professional Services – Hilti Great Britain. As Category Manager, you will be responsible for managing all indirect procurement activities, with a specific focus on Marketing, HR Services, IT, Consulting and Operating Supplies categories. You will drive cost efficiencies, ensure supplier performance, and deliver best-in-class service to internal stakeholders. You will lead projects and foster a high-performing and collaborative environment.Responsibilities
Lead sourcing strategies for indirect categories (e.g., HR, Marketing, IT)Deliver value through cost savings, innovation, and risk mitigationManage end-to-end sourcing (RFPs, supplier selection, negotiation)Maintain and improve supplier relationships and performanceTrack spend and identify cost optimisation opportunitiesMonitor procurement KPIs and drive continuous improvementPartner with internal stakeholders to align procurement with business needsSupport regional/global procurement initiatives in local marketsEnsure compliance and support process/digital improvementsAct as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders, ensuring procurement initiatives align with business needs, collaborating with internal departments; proactively inform management and the wider organisation of spend, influencing and promoting strategic sourcing and spend optimizationReview and ensure compliance, drive operational improvements, including development and implementation of digital sourcing models; collaborate with the Procurement Operations team to ensure seamless execution and continuous improvement of sourcing strategiesEngage with Global or Regional teams and effectively implement projects in designated marketsQualifications
Bachelor’s degree in any fieldPrevious procurement experience, ideally with indirect categories and servicesStrong negotiation, contract management and supplier performance management skillsAbility to develop and implement category strategies that drive value creation for the organizationProficiency in procurement tools (e.g., SAP, Coupa) and Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) is essentialDetail-oriented problem-solving skillsCommunication skills with a proven ability to explain complex topics clearly to a wide variety of audiencesProven interpersonal skills to work effectively and collaboratively within a team, cross-functionally, and with various stakeholder groupsDesire for an international career with international mobilityWhat we offer
