Procurement Assistant – Houghton-le-SpringSalary Dependant on ExperienceJackson Hogg is delighted to be supporting an exciting business in their search for a Procurement Assistant based on their Houghton-Le-Spring site.If you''re organised, detail-driven and keen to make an impact, this role offers the chance to play a key part in a centralised procurement function, working closely with colleagues across development, construction and operations.Responsibilities
Providing professional support to the Procurement Controller and wider business, helping manage costs, reduce risk, and secure best value from suppliers and contractorsManaging procurement systems, ensuring data is accurate, compliant, and supports real-time reportingCoordinating supplier due diligence, contracts and variations, with a focus on quality, ESG and complianceSupporting tendering exercises, producing accurate reports and KPIs, and maintaining supplier records to a high standardBuilding strong working relationships with stakeholders across the business and external partnersDesirable Skills and Experience
Previous experience within a Procurement or Purchasing position such as a Procurement Assistant or Procurement Apprentice roleStrong Excel and Microsoft Office skills, with excellent numeracy and attention to detailAble to manage multiple priorities and deadlines, with a collaborative approachExperience in professional services or construction procurement (desirable)CIPS membership or recognised business qualification (desirable)This is an office-based role within a small but highly impactful team.
