Procurement and Vendor Manager (6 Month Contract) – Global Technology Services (GTS) team, London.Responsibilities
Oversee the end-to-end procurement process, from requisition to paymentDevelop, issue and manage Requests for Proposal (RFPs)Develop, review, negotiate and manage vendor contracts in accordance with company policiesEnsure contract terms align with business objectives and mitigate risks effectivelyWork closely with business teams to understand appropriate terms and conditions of contractsEnsure contract requirements are resolved in appropriate timeframesCollaborate with legal, risk and finance teams to ensure compliance with company policy and proceduresContinuously review and monitor contract changes, identify gaps and improvement opportunitiesMonitor vendor performance against SLAs and KPIsConduct regular vendor reviews to ensure adherence to contract terms and company guidelinesBuild strong relationships with vendors to enhance service quality, cost effectiveness and continuous improvementDrive process improvements to enhance operational efficiencies and reduce vendor-related risksUndertake other responsibilities as required for the proper performance of the roleSkills and Experience
Essential
8+ years of experience in contract and vendor management, preferably within the financial services sectorStrong knowledge and experience in contract and vendor lifecycle management, contract negotiation and managing vendor relationshipsExcellent analytical, problem solving and decision-making skillsStrong communication and stakeholder management abilitiesExceptional attention to detailDesirable
Experience of the re-insurance industry is desirable but other industries will be consideredContract-related certification preferred – IACCM and/or CIPSPersonal Characteristics
