Procurement/Purchasing ManagerBedworth, Warwickshire 50,000 - 60,000 Monday to Thursday, 07:00 - 16:30 We are recruiting for a Procurement / Purchasing Manager to lead purchasing activities across a well-established automotive manufacturing business in Coventry.This is a key role, working closely with Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering and Quality, with responsibility for supplier performance, cost reduction, material availability and supporting the overall competitiveness and profitability of the business.The Role Leading and managing the Purchasing team and wider purchasing activitiesDeveloping and implementing purchasing strategies aligned with business and customer requirementsManaging procurement of direct and indirect materials within an automotive Tier 1 environmentSourcing, negotiating and managing suppliers across cost, quality, delivery and serviceDriving supplier cost reduction, value engineering and continuous improvementManaging supplier performance, audits and developmentWorking closely with Planning to ensure material availability and production continuitySupporting NPI and new programme launches through effective supplier managementOwning KPIs covering cost, quality, inventory and supplier performanceSupporting inventory optimisation and working capital improvementsEnsuring purchasing activity meets customer requirements and industry standards, including IATF 16949Reporting on purchasing performance, supplier metrics and cost saving initiativesAbout YouWe ..... full job details .....
