Interim Procurement and Contract Manager (Housing)Based in London, hybrid workLength: 6 months IR35 status: Inside We are working with a local authority to recruit an experienced Procurement and Contract Management Manager to join the Housing team and play a key role in delivering strategic procurement across the Council.Working closely with senior stakeholders, you''ll lead complex procurement exercises, provide expert procurement advice, develop procurement strategy, and ensure all procurement activity is compliant with current legislation and best practice. You''ll also manage the Council''s e-procurement systems, and help drive value for money, social value and continuous improvement.Key Responsibilities of the Interim Procurement and Contract Manager:Lead end-to-end procurement and tendering exercisesProvide expert advice on procurement legislation and governanceReview procurement documentation and ensure compliance with statutory requirementsDevelop and deliver procurement training and guidanceSupport the implementation of the Council''s procurement strategyMonitor procurement activity, contract management and transparency requirementsSkills, experience and knowledge required of the Interim Procurement and Contract Manager:Significant public sector procurement and contract management experienceStrong knowledge of the Procurement Act 2023, Public Contracts Regulations 2015 (PCR 2015) and local government procurementExperience managing complex procurement projects from ..... full job details .....
