To work closely with the Area Manager, taking complete responsibility and ownership for delivering daily and weekly performance targets. Continuously work to improve the performance of People and Plant to deliver site efficiency and performance standards.Provide ‘hands-on’ leadership to direct reports ensuring the process runs efficiently, providing support and encouragement in team problem solving at the earliest opportunity.Develop the understanding, urgency and motivation of your team members to maximise their own skills to become proactive and focussed on delivering expected individual and team performance results.Implement Hygiene and Housekeeping standards/rules to ensure we are ‘Audit Ready’ at all times, ensuring all paperwork, quality and cleaning records are 100% accurate.Have thorough knowledge and understanding of the process, plant and machinery and associated equipment relating to the Materials Management operations.Responsible for 100% of the units inbound and outbound palletised raw materials and Finished Goods movements during a shift. Through a right first-time mentality, you will meet or exceed supply chain targets. Ensure customer orders are picked and despatched with no compromises to quality through management of your team.Process: ensure the Syrup room department and ingredient stores are Audit ready at all times; maintain quality targets and correct outputs.Responsibilities – Detailed
Supply Chain: Maintain visibility on the shop floor, driving performance of your team and support functions to deliver raw materials to meet the production plan and fulfil customer orders to a timed daily loading plan with variable lead times.Manage teams through appraisal systems to develop and drive performance with quality feedback and development plans.Use Business Objects reporting system, Warehouse Management systems, SAP and others.Plan daily workload, prioritise, and deliver through effective communication.Prepare, attend and contribute to Team meetings, Health and Safety, and disciplinary meetings.Meet and greet customers and lead customer/audit visits; drive MHE proficiency.People Management
Plan and manage efficient utilisation of labour resources within budget.Ensure high driving standards for Mechanical Handling Equipment at all times.Execute the shift training plan to improve performance and flexibility; organise additional training via gap analysis.Manage Attendance/Absenteeism/Timekeeping and probationary reviews; maintain good employee relations.Engage with the shift team to solve business problems and challenge under-performing individuals with improvement criteria and timescales.Safety Management
Ensure compliance with site Health and Safety Regulations.Support the Site HSandE Agenda.Complete incident/accident investigations and work toward root cause elimination.Carry out Risk Assessments.Quality Management
Support and contribute to the Site Quality Agenda.Deliver standards defined by BRC, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001. GMP / 5S and Hygiene.Provide trial materials for new products and manage launches into storage and to customers.Preparation for audits and customer visits; complete NCRs and manage stock control during rework if necessary.Ensure compliance to the Refresco Quality Management System.Seniority level
