On behalf of our globally respected client who develop cutting-edge technologies that deliver clean, safe and competitive solutions to meet the planet''s vital power needs we are looking for a Process Operator for a 12 months contract based in Ansty, Coventry.

Please note this role is going to be on a 3 shift rotating pattern that will include mornings, afternoons and nights.

Job description - the role

Purpose of the role:
The role involves the process of fan case components and associated sub-components through Bonding Valuestream across multiple processes including paint spraying, internal panel bonding, void filling and kevlar wrapping. Working in an established team to maintain quality, flow rate and customer deliveries.

What you''ll do:

  • Application of paint & protective coatings
  • Void filling internal areas of fan case and associated subcomponents
  • Bonding of internal acoustic panels
  • Kevlar Wrap operations.
  • Be able to read and interpret manufacturing engineering drawings, technical instructions, and written specifications.
  • Self-certification inspection of operations to ensure they meet quality standard/ drawing requirements.
  • Maintain 5S and good housekeeping standards within work area.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the process/ cell

The skills you''ll need:

  • Good understanding of paint spraying fundamentals
  • NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) AND Time-served Apprenticeship both within a mechanical engineering discipline
  • Basic IT literacy including understanding of MES booking system.
  • Understanding of local and regional HSE Standards and regulations
  • Previous experience working in a role requiring good use of hand skills
  • Engineering background (aerospace, railway or automotive)
