Process Operator Witham 6 Month Fixed-Term Contract (FTC)We are working with an award-winning employer to grow their team as a Process Operator in the Witham area. This is a 6 month fixed-term contract, making it an excellent opportunity for someone with an interest in science who is looking to start a career within the industry.Previous experience is not essential; however, you must have a genuine interest in science, be highly organised, and be able to work under pressure whilst maintaining accuracy and high standards.Full training will be provided.Purpose of the JobTo weigh out analytical samples for the laboratory; load and unload the laboratory dishwashers; wash laboratory glassware; transport materials and stores between Witham sites (by foot or using the company van); and carry out sample preparation under the guidance of the Chemist/Laboratory Supervisor.DutiesUndertake consistent and accurate laboratory weighing techniques and manipulation skills.Ensure that all assigned work is carried out in conformance with instructions, established methods, and quality standards.Demonstrate a consistent understanding of material types and their relevant sample preparation requirements.If holding a current driving licence, act as a porter to other company units on the estate using the company van.Learn and apply the role and importance of UKAS ISO 17025 and ISO 9001:2000 within the laboratory.Ensure equipment is used efficiently and effectively and maintained where ..... full job details .....
