Overview

Process Improvement Lead - Green Spaces. We are seeking an experienced Process Improvement Lead to support our Green Spaces service on a contract basis. This is a key role focused on reviewing and improving operations, processes, procedures, and management practices to ensure services are delivered safely, efficiently, and effectively.The Green Spaces service covers:Parks, playgrounds, sports pitches, and community facilitiesCountryside estates, including commons and open spacesCemetery servicesThe role will be primarily based in Esher, with travel required across the borough to visit sites. There will also be opportunities for remote working.Key Responsibilities

Review, map, and streamline processes and procedures to ensure compliance with corporate standards, legislation, and industry best practice.Develop and implement improvements, working with teams and ICT to make better use of digital tools and introduce effective data oversight to measure progress.Support the embedding of new practices across teams, ensuring consistency and efficiency in service delivery.Identify and coordinate training requirements to support new and existing processes.Carry out other duties related to Green Spaces processes as required by the Head of Culture, Leisure and Environment.Person Specification

Essential

Degree or equivalent demonstrable experienceManagement qualification or equivalent demonstrable experienceProven track record in change management and process improvement in a public-facing service or similar environmentStrong analytical, problem-solving, and evaluation skillsExcellent communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levelsStrong IT skills with the ability to manage and present data efficientlyFlexible, adaptable, diplomatic, and assertive approachFull driving licence and willingness to travel within the boroughDesirable

Project management qualification or equivalent demonstrable experienceExperience working within local government or the public sectorCreative, innovative, and strategic thinkerWhat you need to do now
