Process Design Engineer - Water & Wastewater
Location: Hybrid (minimum 3 days per week in office/site)
Type: Permanent

The Role
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Process Design Engineer to join a growing design team, supporting the delivery of high-quality process solutions across a range of water and wastewater treatment projects.
You will play a key role in the planning, development, and delivery of process designs, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure solutions are efficient, compliant, and fit for purpose. This role offers exposure across the full project lifecycle, from concept design through to project delivery and review.
You will also contribute to technical documentation, design optimisation, and safety processes, helping to drive innovation, sustainability, and operational excellence within the team.

Key Responsibilities
·Support the design and development of water and wastewater treatment processes
·Produce key process documentation including PFDs, mass balances, P&IDs, and control philosophies
·Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated design solutions
·Assist in design optimisation to improve performance, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness
·Participate in HAZOP studies, risk assessments, and technical reviews
·Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and best practice
·Contribute to project delivery across design, testing, and implementation stages
·Support continuous improvement and innovation within process design

Experience Required
·3-5 years'' experience in process engineering
·Ideally experienced within the water or wastewater sector
·Exposure to treatment plants or process-driven infrastructure projects
·Understanding of water quality standards and environmental regulations

·Awareness of relevant industry standards and regulations

Qualifications
·Degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline
