Process Engineer

An established engineering and environmental solutions business is looking to recruit a Process Engineer to support the design and delivery of complex industrial treatment and process projects. This role offers the opportunity to be involved throughout the project lifecycle, from concept and tendering stages through to detailed design, commissioning support and operational optimisation.

Working within a multidisciplinary engineering team, you will play a key role in developing innovative and cost-effective process solutions for a range of industrial and infrastructure clients.

Key Responsibilities

• The Process Engineer will develop process designs and select appropriate treatment technologies for project applications.
• Produce and review technical documentation including P&IDs, process philosophies and design calculations.
• Support bid, proposal and tender activities with technical expertise and client presentations.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant industry standards, regulations and health & safety requirements.
• The Process Engineer will work closely with engineering, project delivery and commissioning teams throughout project execution.
• Assist with plant optimisation, troubleshooting and process improvement activities.
• Contribute to value engineering initiatives to improve project efficiency and performance.
• Support design reviews, risk assessments and technical decision-making processes.

About You

• Degree qualified in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering or a related discipline.
• The Process Engineer will need at least 2 years’  experience within the Water, Municipal, Wastewater or Water Process industry
• Strong understanding of process design principles and engineering best practice.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
• Strong communication skills and confidence working with clients, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• High attention to detail with the ability to deliver quality work to challenging deadlines.
