A well-established manufacturing business within the FMCG sector is seeking a Process Engineer to support continuous improvement initiatives, optimise production processes, and enhance equipment reliability and product quality. This is a newly created position, offering the opportunity to lead reliability-focused projects and contribute to site-wide performance improvements.

Process Engineer

Salary - up to -50,000

Shift Pattern - 4 on 4 off days (6am to 6pm)

Location - Norfolk

Responsibilities

  • Deliver improvement initiatives to increase operational efficiency, reduce downtime, and optimise production outputs.
  • Implement reliability-focused strategies to enhance asset performance and strengthen preventative maintenance practices.
  • Investigate process issues using structured problem-solving techniques and implement long-term, sustainable solutions.
  • Interpret performance data to identify inefficiencies, trends, and opportunities for operational improvement.
  • Support implementation of process changes, product trials, and introduction of new or revised production methods.
  • Promote consistent working practices through standardisation, continuous improvement tools, and workforce engagement.
  • Work collaboratively with multiple departments to drive performance improvements and achieve operational targets.

Requirements

  • Experience in process engineering, manufacturing, or continuous improvement within a production-based environment.
  • Worked in a similar role such as (continuous improvement engineer or reliability engineer)
  • Proven ability to deliver improvements in efficiency, equipment performance, or overall operational effectiveness.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience applying structured improvement methodologies.
  • Confidence working with data analysis tools to interpret performance and support decision-making activities.
  • Understanding of maintenance strategies, equipment reliability, and process optimisation within manufacturing settings.
  • Effective communication skills, with ability to influence, engage, and collaborate across different teams.
  • Awareness of health, safety, and quality standards relevant to a regulated production environment.
