As a Process Engineer, you will play a key role in estimating manufacturing costs, creating Bills of Materials, and supporting production engineering activities from initial assessment through to implementation.
Your responsibilities as a Process Engineer:
- Assess and estimate the cost of manufactured components using 3D models and 2D drawings.
- Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams to inform accurate costings.
- Use engineering knowledge to evaluate manufacturing complexity and required processes.
- Create and maintain Bill of Materials (BOMs) within the company ERP system.
- Update BOMs in line with engineering changes.
- Support the Production Engineering team with costing and documentation activities.
Your current experience which will help you as a Process Engineer:
- Proven experience in cost engineering and estimating for machined components.
- Familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Understanding of manufacturing processes including CNC milling, turning, grinding and surface finishing.
- Proficient in using ERP systems and strong general computer skills.
- Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings and 3D models.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organisational and communication skills.
