Title: Process Engineer

Rate: £50-£60 per hour
Contract Length: 6-12 months +
Determination: Inside IR35

This role requires security clearance up to SC.

To provide discipline specific engineering services within the UUK Engineering & Projects department to ensure the delivery of safe, cost effective design solutions. To undertake activities across the project/engineering cycle, including requirements capture, Optioneering, Design Delivery, review/approval of design deliverables, management of installation/construction, testing/commissioning and handover and to provide discipline specific advice into a variety of forums, taking ownership and resolving issues as required.

Purpose of the Engineering & Projects department:
- To maintain UUK''s Design Authority arrangements, including:
- Design & Engineering Standards
- Engineering support to UUK organisation
- Configuration Management and Design Control
- Design Authority approval of changes & tenant oversight
- Drawing office support
- To deliver UUK Engineering projects (capital & revenue), including:
- Requirements capture
- Optioneering and design
- Specification and Procurement
- Implementation/Construction
- Commissioning & Handover
- Project Support services

Key internal and external relations
- Delivering projects and engineering on behalf of customers within UUK (Operations, Logistics, Infrastructure)
- Maintaining effective supplier relationships to enable delivery
- Interface with CTG and other sites

Vocational qualifications
• Degree in relevant discipline-specific Engineering.
• Associate member of a relevant engineering institute, and actively pursuing chartered status.
