The successful candidate will work closely with colleagues across departments including Production, Engineering, Quality, and RandD, to support the optimisation of existing processes and assist in the introduction of new products. Process Chemist Requirements A degree (BSc or equivalent) in Chemistry, or a related scientific discipline. A strong interest in chemical manufacturing and process development. Good understanding of fundamental chemical principles and reaction mechanisms. Industrial placement or internship experience in a manufacturing or lab environment. Basic understanding of process safety, regulatory compliance (REACH, COSHH), or analytical techniques. Ability to work on a COMAH site and pass an enhanced DBS check. Process Chemist Responsibilities Conducting laboratory-based experiments to support proposed process changes. Supporting the scale-up of new products from laboratory or pilot plant to full-scale production. Helping to analyse production data and performance metrics to drive continuous improvement.
