Process and Quality Engineer

OverviewWe’re looking for an experienced Quality and Process Engineer to join a leading automotive engineering company in Birmingham. This is a pivotal role where you’ll develop and implement business processes and standards across Production, Quality, Engineering, Environmental, Health and Safety, and Training while delivering commercially viable engineering solutions.

Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and maintain our Quality and Environmental Management System (QEMS) and Business Management System (BMS) in line with company objectives and industry standards.

Design and develop products, process improvements, tooling, fixtures, and equipment.

Conduct supplier, product, and service audits to ensure compliance with specifications.

Create and maintain SOPs, Work Instructions, and contract documentation including FMEAs, Control Plans, and PFDs.

Drive continuous improvement in processes, quality, and production capabilities.

Deliver both formal and informal training to raise quality awareness and skills across the business.

Qualifications

Degree (or equivalent) in Automotive Engineering or a related field.

Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.

Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).

Knowledge of ISO, IATF, APQP standards, and proven quality/project management techniques.

Audit qualification (or willingness to achieve one).
