Probation Officer

Red Snapper Recruitment are recruiting for a Probation Officer in behalf of our client the National Probation Service. As a Probation Officer, you''ll be at the frontline of offender management and rehabilitation, working directly with individuals in the community and in custody to support behavioural change, enforce court orders, and protect the public. You''ll deliver cognitive and behavioural interventions and manage complex risk cases including sexual and violent offenders. You''ll also play a vital role in advising the courts and developing multi-agency safety plans under MAPPA. Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver high-quality risk assessments, pre-sentence reports, and rehabilitation plansSupervise and support offenders in the community, ensuring compliance and promoting behavioural changePrepare prisoners for release and successful resettlementLead work on serious and high-risk cases through Multi Agency Public Protection Arrangements (MAPPA)Provide expert advice to courts and partner agencies, including the Police, Prison Service, and JudiciaryMaintain accurate case records and ensure all decision-making is evidence-based and defensibleLiaise with victims in line with relevant legislation and guidanceEngage with local voluntary and statutory partners to build a coordinated response to offending What You''ll Need A relevant professional qualification (e.g., DipSW, CQSW, Probation Qualification or equivalent)Experience working within the criminal justice system and a strong ..... full job details .....
