The role will combine team management with technical oversight of complex enforcement cases, HMOs and legal proceedings. The Role ·Line manage a team of EHOs and Technical Officers across a range of Private Sector Housing functions. ·Use statutory powers to regulate and improve housing conditions within the private rented sector. ·Provide technical guidance to officers on complex cases, including HMOs and enforcement action. ·Undertake the first review of prosecution files, tribunal cases and financial penalty notices. ·Manage a reduced caseload of complex Private Sector Housing cases. ·Support officers with inspections, statutory notices, schedules of work and preparation of evidence files. ·Support delivery of the Council''s Housing Assistance Policy and associated programmes. ·Provide expert advice to customers on Private Sector Housing matters. ·Support the Head of Housing Solutions with the delivery and development of specialist housing services.
