The council is looking for someone who can come in and provide additional support specifically around HMOs, so this would be a great opportunity for an officer with strong experience in HMO inspections, licensing and enforcement. Responsibilities As a Private Sector Housing Officer, you will: Carry out HMO inspections across the borough. Investigate unlicensed and potentially licensable HMOs. Undertake HHSRS assessments, with experience or knowledge of the new HHSRS system helpful. Manage HMO licensing cases from inspection through to resolution. Investigate complaints relating to housing conditions and standards within HMOs. Take appropriate enforcement action where properties or landlords are non-compliant.
