The role will have a particular focus on HMOs and unlicensed properties , carrying out inspections, investigating potential breaches and taking appropriate enforcement action where required. The role will include: Carrying out inspections of HMOs and other privately rented properties Investigating unlicensed HMOs and suspected licensing breaches Undertaking HHSRS inspections and identifying Category 1 and Category 2 hazards Investigating complaints relating to housing conditions, disrepair and poor property standards Preparing and serving statutory notices under relevant housing legislation Taking enforcement action against landlords and managing agents where appropriate Supporting HMO licensing investigations and applications Gathering evidence and maintaining detailed case files Preparing cases for civil penalties, prosecutions and Tribunal proceedings Liaising with landlords, tenants, ...
