This role plays a key part in improving living conditions and management standards across the private rented sector, ensuring safety, compliance, and support for vulnerable residents. Key Responsibilities Inspections & HHSRS: Conduct property inspections under Part 1 of the Housing Act 2004 (Housing Health and Safety Rating System) and the Environmental Protection Act 1990. Property Licensing: Assess applications for property licences (including HMOs), investigate licensing status, and monitor compliance with conditions. Enforcement: Issue notices, orders, Simple Cautions, and Financial Penalty Notices. Prepare prosecution cases under PACE/RIPA guidelines and attend court or First-tier Tribunals when necessary.
