Private Rented Sector Enabling Officer Location: Maidenhead, BerkshireRate: £20.16 per hourContract: Temporary, Initial 3-Month Assignment likely extensionStart Date: Immediate Start AvailableWorking Pattern: Hybrid (Approx. 3 days office / 2 days home working) full time We are currently recruiting for an experienced Private Rented Sector Enabling Officer to join a busy Local Authority Housing team in Maidenhead on an initial 3-month temporary contract. This role has been created to provide additional support while the council undertakes recruitment for a permanent position, making it an excellent opportunity for an experienced housing professional available at short notice. The Role You will play a key role in securing accommodation within the private rented sector, supporting homeless prevention initiatives and helping applicants access sustainable housing solutions. Working closely with landlords, letting agents and internal housing teams, you will assist residents in finding suitable accommodation and reducing homelessness across the borough. Key Responsibilities Source suitable private rented accommodation for housing applicants. Build and maintain positive relationships with landlords and letting agents. Support homelessness prevention and statutory housing duties. Assist in moving households from housing waiting lists into private rented accommodation.
